Brenda's Photo Challenge: Bedtime

This was a challenge ~ on two levels:  the reality of my life and finding a subject!  I live by myself, there are no grandchildren and the adult children are out and about in the world and I work on average six days a week.  So decided to go with the critters who inhabit my household.  They are all in bed before I even realize it is  time to call it a day.  Sometimes that leaves a challenge of a different kind...where in the world am I suppose to sleep! :-)
Tye has a kennel.  But after a busy 12 hour day at doggie day care this lab/border collie mix always attempts to sack-out on on the Mom's bed first.  Perhaps he hopes I won't notice the large furry lump taking up most of the bed...
Aging coon hounds do three things, eat, sleep and sniff stuff.  Reb gets his own chair and everyone including me stays out of it!
Pip the Love Bird goes to bed at 8 PM and is up with all of Mother Nature's avian friends at 4 AM ~ who needs an alarm clock?

Then there are the visitors:  Sukie and Juneau.  Their Mom was the main course for a coyote and her pups when these little ones were about two weeks old.  These little feral friends are being "socialized".  But like all their feline kin,  socialized or not,  BEDTIME comes and they wake up!  At least for the time being I don't startle at strange sounds in the house....Suk and Juju are just having HS (hour of sleep) fun!!!

I don't have little ones to take pictures of either. The pets are always a good substitute though. Gotta love those dogs that think they own the bed. Those kittens are so cute, how sad that their mom was coyote dinner

Oh, my ... I was utterly taken with your photo of Pip the Love Bird. What a darling. And those kittehs! I am not a cat person -- dog lover through and through -- but the looks on those cats' faces are unusual. They appear so alert and inquisitive! Your dogs are just wonderful too. Love the way they're both large and in charge of the places they've chosen to sleep! LOLOL they're so great, dogs.

God bless and have a good weekend!

I think I mistakenly posted a non-comment after my actual comment, LOL! Apologies. Got momentarily confused. I did want to say though, I love your playlist! Usually I don't like it when a blog plays music, but you can't go wrong with Yo Yo Ma. I actually have that recording and love to pipe it outside for sublime pool-floating accompaniment!

Your family is similar to mine. Animals are children and family to many. In Austria many people I met opted for a pet to save money on rent.Today I got up with too many pets in bed, I couldn't stretch out.

This was a challenge for me too because I seriously lack subject matter! At least you have a total zoo of pets, LOL. Love seeing the warm and fuzzy critters!

What a strange shot of Pip.

Critters definitely know how to relax. :)

Pip sleeps in a small green fleece tent. That is what you see him peering out of...trying to get a photo of him napping disturbed his slumber.
